The couple will exchange their vows April 13 at Belle Terrace at Avon Old Farms, an elegant, historic setting and home to the former Avon Old Farms Inn. Gold and crystal chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows adorn the Belle Terrace Ballroom that also provides access to a perfectly manicured terrace and an adjacent private cocktail room. The historic wing of the building, which dates back to the 1700s, features the Farmington Ballroom and private reception rooms. Party planners at Belle Terrace will work with the Dream Wedding couple to create a reception that reflects the couple’s personality.

A focal point of any wedding reception is the cake, which serves both as a delight to the eyes and the taste buds. Carol Murdock, the award-winning owner of Classic Cakes in West Hartford, thinks of herself as an interpreter whose language is cake and icing. Murdock will collaborate with the bridal couple to translate their ideas into a confectionary work of art.

Flowers also lend an artistic touch to the ceremony and reception and complement the wedding dress and bridesmaids’ attire. The design team at Always Bloomin in Plainville approaches each project with one motto in mind, “When the ordinary is unacceptable.” The florist for the 2011 Dream Wedding, Always Bloomin, once again will aim for creating a lasting memory for this year’s couple. Throughout the day, photographer Danny Kash will follow the couple and capture the magic in images that will last forever. Owner of Danny Kash Photography in Bloomfield, Kash combines a creative eye and technical prowess to catch the sunburst of a bride’s smile, the proud look of a bridegroom, and the mirth of the guests, as well as a range of emotions, moods, and happenings.
