This will be the 39th year of the Glastonbury Apple Festival on the weekend after Columbus Day.With 20,000 attendees, 200 volunteers, 125 crafters and 40 food vendors, the festival is the single largest event in town. This year will feature newnight hours from 6–10 p.m. and a larger ride vendor offering wrist bands. A zipline company is also being considered. Last year, the festival introduced a beer garden, a second entertainment stage and a petting zoo with pony rides. The 5K, 1K and Kid’s Fun Run are perennially popular. Dombrowski says, “It’s a way to showcase Glastonbury and it’s the quintessential New England fall festival.”
